While Matthew Vaughn (‘The Kingsman’) has worked with a Marvel property in the past with the 2011 release of ‘X-Men: First Class,’ he has never directed a film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, the director has shared that if he could work on a specific property, he would love to tackle a new cinematic adaptation of Marvel’s First Family – the ‘Fantastic Four.’ With Disney having purchased Fox, we know that just like the ‘X-Men,’ it is only a matter of time before Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and Thing end up officially joining the MCU. According to Vaughn: “Yeah, I’ve always loved the idea of doing Fantastic Four as it was originally written. I mean, it’s one of my favorite comics, and I actually think that Fantastic Four, as a nice piece of IP, is, in theory, as big as Spider-Man.
